WELLCOME TO WILD DOUGH!

​

We are a neighbourhood artisan bakery,
deli and pantry store with a mission to create extraordinary moments for everyday life.
Really, when was the last time you smiled when walking into a food shop?

 

Here at Wild Dough we pride ourselves on bringing our customers the freshest local & seasonal produce available. Since we began trading in 2019, we have been building relationships with local producers, so that the majority of our bread, cakes, bakes, eggs, milk and cheese are sourced from small artisans in and around Ayrshire and the West of Scotland. We love working and supporting the small folk, who are passionate about what they bake, grow or create and we share their passion.

Just like our artisan producers, we are steadfastly  
independent and proud of what we do and
what we offer
to our customers. 

Our wee (but we like to think mighty) bakery store is located on the charming Newmarket Street, in the quaint Seaside town  of Ayr, South Ayrshire. 

 

Our AUTUMN / WINTER Opening Hours are:
Friday - 10am - 3pm
Saturday - 10am - 3pm

Sunday - Thursday - Closed

SEASONAL. LOCAL. FRESH.

The bread we bake in-house daily is made by hand, only using natural ingredients, specially selected stoneground flour, Scottish sea salt and Scottish water, without additives, chemicals or artificial improvers.

Our Sourdough takes from 42-72 hours to mature before it's baked and brought to your table and for us, it is pure labour of love. 

We enjoy experimenting with seasonal flavours and always try to use locally sourced ingredients in our signature staples and weekly specials!

 

When it comes to fresh, local, seasonal produce, our philosophy is really simple…Bake it in the morning. Churn it overnight. Grow it locally, pick it when ripe. Make it travel fewer miles & offer it while it’s still as fresh as a daisy –
it all adds up to better, healthier, tastier food on your table!

THE PANTRY

For us, it’s all about taste. The essence of things, products that fully convince us and food we simply can’t get enough of. And that’s what we want to share with you: our enthusiasm for good food and drinks. ‍Our shelves are stocked with quality products we truly believe in; From the bread we eat, cakes we love to indulge in

on a Friday afternoon and coffee we like to drink ourselves, to exciting small-batch artisan produce from Scotland and the British Isles, plus the occasional "rogue" overseas foodie gem that you won't find in your regular supermarket!

From everyday essentials like Mossgiel organic milk for your morning coffee, pasture-fed Ramstane eggs for your brekkie, 
through to creamy cheeses from I.J. Mellis and handmade oaty biscuits that round off a family dinner, Edinburgh-made artisan chocolates for a special gift or a wide range of jams, spreads and chutneys, you are sure to find something to tickle your fancy!

Stock up your store cupboard with our quality range of larder essentials. Featuring premium quality dried handcrafted goods such as pasta, rice, oats, granola and flour; free-range pasture fed eggs from Ramstane Farm; your favourite sauces, salts and salad dressings, and even locally made bacon biltong for a sneaky treat!

Wild Dough is ran by two lassies who share a

real love for good bread, food and drink! 

We are always ready to assist and navigate you through our assortment, provide background information to all our products and, if appreciated,

loads of nerdy insights as well!
